Little Victories
After a really yummy breakfast, we went throughout Santa Rosa and saw all the HUGE ways CAMO has impacted not only this community, but the whole western country. We visited a women’s clinic, the only hospital in West Honduras, the physical therapy clinic (my heart sped a little here!) and we got to tour two buildings that are currently being built that will eventually become a cultural...

I’m safe in Santa Rosa and exhausted from traveling. And it is raining like a mofo…and we are about to go out for our first dinner with Alan! And I’m really appreciating Trent and Katie…and I really appreciate stable American governments. And I am happy to be here minus missing some important people in my life. So in short: so far, so good.
I’m just spending the rest of the weekend with Kyle and my parents until I leave…and I doubt that will include getting on my computer. Adios! At least until I get set up down in Honduras! :) :)

my professor didn’t really tell us anything about it except that it was going to be open note and all short answer and most likely based on the case study that we have been working on all semester. so my guess is that we are gonna have to apply the theories that we have learned the last 6 weeks into the case study. which is great except i just don’t really know how to study for that?...

Jolie was so sweet to offer to translate the email I received that was in spanish. And I was excited that I kind of new what he was talking about and all I needed to do was look up a few words here or there! So thank you for the offer, but I figured it out! And THEN…I wrote him back just now in spanish! Yay! I wanted her to be real proud of me :)

MALARIA MONDAYS
Today marks the beginning of a weekly celebration…the celebration of not receiving a horrible disease by taking a pill that could possible make me more nauseous than I already am. I am calling them Malaria Mondays (hopefully this will help me remember to take the pills in the first place!) and I will be celebrating them for the next 10-12 weeks. So, Happy Malaria Monday to all over you! :)
