Sweetest Day, observed the third Saturday of October, originated in Cleveland in 1922. Although it has evolved into a kind of “Valentine’s Day in the fall,” Sweetest Day started out as a day to do something kind for those less fortunate. The first Sweetest Day, a Cleveland candy factory employee took candy to orphans and shut-ins. Thanks MSN!

I started thinking about my Christmas ornament for Flordia today on my run…no defnite ideas quite yet.
