I sent for my passport today! :) :)  Holy cow!  Everytime I get something done for this trip, it gets a little more real.  We are actually going to Honduras in six months.  Wow.

“What is, therfore, our task today?  Shall I answer: “Faith, hope, and love”?  That sounds beautiful.  But I would say— courage.  No, even that is not challenging enough to be the whole truth.  Our task today is recklessness.  For what we Christians lack is not psychology or literature…we lack a holy rage— the recklessness which comes from the knowledge of God...

Pangea Day →
I haven’t Pangea Day-ed my Tumblr yet… which is so nuts, considering I am absolutely obsessed with the films.  Definitely go on and check out the website!  I am going to put up a couple of my favorites. :) :) About Pangea Day:  “In a world where people are often divided by borders, difference, and conflict, it’s easy to lose sight of what we all have in common.  Pangea...

Typical Christmas
Derek proposed to me for the sixth time today.  I told him to stop being silly and get up for the sixth time today.  He did use a different ring this time.  But then we laugh and kick his whole family’s butt in Pictionary like each year.  He always says “Good one, hun.”  And I give him a squeemish smile.  I wonder if he weren’t in L.A. if I would get more fake-proposals? ...

So work went REALLY well today!  I actually (gasp) had fun.  My favorite customer came in and came to my line.  And my favorite bagger bagged for  me.  It was very tight. Life is good. :)

Training Ribbon
I took it upon myself to take off my training ribbon off before I go into Buehlers today…  I’m pretty sure they forgot to tell me to take it off in the Summer.  And I sure as heck didn’t remind them:  it was kind of like a safety net in case I screwed up.  But I’m taking a leap and pretending that I know what I’m doing… :)  Here I come grumpy old people!!! :D

Ok so I do have to admit that it is really nice to get cute texts every once in a while.  Especially if it is from a cute person! :)

Highest Point
Jesse: (Randomly) Does anyone know the highest point in Ohio?
Ashley: (Instantly) Bellfontaine.
Jesse: How in the world did you know that?
Ashley: Haha my best friend is from there and he told me last week.
So weird!

Knitting and Sweet Sixteen
So it is basically a fact to me that there is nothing on the television on Saturdays.  But I really need to finish my grandma’s scarf.  So I put on MTV for background noise and started to knit. (I’m maybe 1/3 the way done…. I still have 5 days though.)  But My Super Sweet Sixteen was on: a show I’m not very proud to say I was watching.  But they were racking up the insane...

Another Lesson
I also learned just a tid bit of what it takes to plan for a wedding.  I don’t know how people do it.  Either I’m not getting married or my wedding is going to be super nontraditional.  Props to you, Jolie.  You go, girl!

Watch My Minister Chop Down a Tree On Stage →
Last year my church minister back at home did this Christmas sermon series called Trees.  The fourth “Charlie Brown Christmas Tree” he literally pulls out a chain saw and chops down branches on stage.  The ending is awesome.  Please watch this, this Christmas season! :)

Burning eyes...
No this is not some kind of a metaphor for being in love or whatnot.  My eyes have really felt like they are burning lately.  And they are kind of red around the iris.  I don’t wear contacts, so it’s not like I stick anything in there.  Any ideas?  Comments? Suggestions? Anyone an eye doctor out there?

My mom is so cute...
“As Kenny Rogers once sang to me at a concert that your dad stood inline to purchase tickets…. You’ve got to know when to hold ‘em and know when to fold ‘em.  Know when to walk away, and know when to run.  You’ve got to count your blessings………   Love you too.  You can always count on me to listen…however, I don’t always know what to...

TRUE story
It’s more than a feeling, when I hear that old song they used to play (more than a feeling), I begin dreaming (more than a feeling), til I see Marianne walking away, I see my Marianne  walkin’ away… [Boston] So this song was written about my spinning instructor’s Mom…  She always heard the story growing up and a couple of years ago she went to the concert and got...

Excerpts from Hope Mendola's Blog
“I saw the kid I went to senior prom with this afternoon. He asked what I was doing tonight, and I told him I was going home to stare at our Christmas tree. We finally got one today, and it’s huge. “It’s a Saturday night and you’re hanging out at home?” He said in mild disgust/disbelief. “Well, I’m going to Bob Evans first.” I tried to redeem...

Thoughts for the day
1. All nighters are NOT a good idea. (Even if they are spent with your best friend.) 2. Be careful who you trust. 3. Look to Jesus for an example, not people. 4. Drink good tea always. 5. Make phone calls to catch up. 6. Forgive. But protect your heart. 7. Pray about everything.  And listen more.

If we live our lives so timid and fearful of the unknown, we limit ourselves.  If we limit ourselves, there is no true way of knowing our potential in this world.  Take risks and explore the unknown.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. -Galatians 5:1 I’ve been feeling liberated lately through God.  It’s really cool.

El Espanol Durante La Manana
No idea if I wrote that right.  But I suppose I promised an explination of my crazy mad excitement from last week.  However, Chicago got in the way (I live a tough life, haha).  Anyway, Trent and I received an acceptance e-mail from CAMO saying that we WILL be in Honduras this summer!  I don’t think I’ve ever felt so many emotions at once.  Excited, scared, nervous, humbled…   ...
